Yukhoe mulhoe would be my first choice at Hyanghwajeong. If cold soup isn’t for you, there’s yukhoe bibimbap or seasoned cockle bibimbap. Seafood pajeon is another option to share. I’d choose my main dish first, then see whether we wanted anything extra.

Cold broth or rice?

Yukhoe is seasoned raw beef. Mulhoe serves it in chilled broth, while bibimbap mixes it with rice. Cockle bibimbap uses shellfish instead of the raw-beef dish. Check that the ingredients suit everyone. I’m curious how sour and sweet the mulhoe broth is and how it tastes with the beef. Liking yukhoe doesn’t guarantee I’ll like this broth, and I haven’t tasted it here.

Mulhoe plus yukhoe bibimbap totals KRW 29,800. Two mulhoe or two yukhoe bibimbap dishes cost the same. Adding pajeon makes KRW 44,800 before drinks and extras. I like the idea of a pancake with cold soup, but I’d ask about its actual size and availability first. These are totals for listed dishes, not a two-person cockle set or a guarantee of how much food you’ll need.

The afternoon break

The tourism address is 17 Sajeong-ro 57beon-gil, also written Sajung-ro. Hours are listed as 11:00–21:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, so a 4 p.m. meal doesn’t fit that schedule. Confirm current order cutoffs, seating, raw-beef or seafood ingredients and the actual assistance available.

If I went to Hyanghwajeong, I'd start with one yukhoe mulhoe. With someone who prefers rice, I'd pair it with a yukhoe bibimbap, KRW 29,800 for the two at the listed prices, and add the seafood pajeon only if we were still hungry. I'd leave the cockle bibimbap to seafood lovers, since my record leans the other way.
