OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ARENA
Privacy notice
This page explains how Our Neighborhood Arena handles personal information, service-improvement measurement, optional advertising and cookies.
Public service
Public stories and place or menu information can be read without an account. Reading public pages does not ask you to directly submit a name, email address or phone number.
Service-improvement measurement
For website operations and improvement, acquisition/conversion/return-visit statistics, and content or feature performance analysis, a first-party analytics ledger may record random visitor and 30-minute session identifiers, page paths and story slugs, external referring domains, UTM source/medium/campaign/content/term, device category, language and a limited set of service events. The analytics ledger does not store raw IP addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, full referrer URLs or raw user-agent strings. Random visitor/session identifiers are not created to identify a person by name, but when they are linked to an authenticated account ID or combined with other information so that they become a specific user's usage history, we protect them as personal information. When signed in, a separate mapping may link the visitor/session identifiers to the authenticated account ID so pre- and post-sign-in journeys can be analyzed. Analytics events and these mappings are retained for up to 400 days and then automatically removed.
Operator tools
The CMS and administrator screens use Supabase Auth and are limited to approved operators. Administrator authentication is handled separately from public article data, and operator-screen visits are excluded from first-party web analytics.
External measurement, ads and cookies
GA4, AdSense and consent features activate only with valid operator configuration. Without configuration, the site sends no requests to those external analytics or advertising services. When consent is required, related external code is not loaded before permission, and the ona_consent cookie may retain the choice for up to 180 days.
Service infrastructure
Cloudflare Pages delivers the website, while Supabase supports the CMS, public data reads and the first-party analytics ledger. These providers may process technical request information while providing the service.
Retention and updates
The first-party analytics ledger uses a maximum 400-day retention window with automatic cleanup. Other account and service data follows the retention and deletion rules applicable to the feature and legal obligations. Material changes will be dated and reflected on this page.
Third-party advertising and data
When ads are served, third-party advertising providers including Google may set or read browser cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers for ad delivery and measurement. This is separate from the first-party analytics storage described above.
