Pizaok or Isabu Pizza: I’d Start with Isabu’s Onion Bulgogi

Bulgogi pizza is what I want today, so between Pizaok and Isabu Pizza on Hwangridan-gil, I’d go to Isabu and order the onion bulgogi M. It was the only bulgogi pizza on the menus I checked. Pizaok is the one I’d save for a day when everyone at the table wants truffle.

I haven’t eaten at either place. This comparison is based on visitor reviews on Polle and Diningcode, a 2025 visitor blog post, menu listings and my MATI taste-test record. I checked Isabu’s bulgogi prices on Diningcode on 10 October 2026 and Pizaok’s Naver Place menu on 18 October 2026.

Truffle at Pizaok can split a table

Pizaok is at 1 Sonhyoja-gil, first floor, Hwangnam-dong. Polle reviewer Sursursu liked the truffle oil on the mortadella Bismarck, but their companion didn’t, and the same reviewer found the noodles in the octopus-and-seafood oil linguine dry. For a pizza you share, that first note matters most: I’d only order truffle if both of us wanted it. A 2025 visitor blog post described a two-person set of Hanwoo-truffle pizza and shrimp rosé-cream pasta, and the writer liked the rich rosé sauce. The Hanwoo-truffle pizza wasn’t on the Naver Place menu I checked on 18 October 2026, though, and neither was a bulgogi pizza. That menu tab listed delivery items such as mortadella e burrata, mortadella Bismarck, funghi truffle and classic margherita, with no date, so I haven’t compared Pizaok prices here.

Why I’d start with bulgogi

My MATI taste-test record leans towards meat rather than seafood (+0.30 on the main-ingredient axis) and slightly towards rich flavours (+0.19), so a bulgogi pizza is where my eye goes first. The same record leans a little away from sweetness (−0.13). Diningcode’s menu describes Isabu’s onion bulgogi as sweet and salty, and none of the reviews I read say how sweet the sauce is, so that’s the one thing I’d ask about when ordering.

On 10 October 2026, Diningcode listed the onion bulgogi at KRW 25,900 for an M and KRW 30,000 for an L, and an onion-bulgogi/bacon-potato half-and-half L at KRW 32,000. Going from M to L adds KRW 4,100. Prices may have changed since, so check them when you order.

Size and sides at Isabu

Isabu Pizza is at 1064-6 Poseok-ro, first floor. Diningcode reviewer Jisungsung found an M cheese-crust pizza enough for two, though that was the signature pizza rather than the bulgogi, and appetites differ. Mimimark liked the generous toppings and found the chilli cheese sticks spicy. My record leans away from heat (−0.25), so if I added a side, I’d pick the fries, which Polle reviewer Ttubukdaejang liked, before the cheese sticks.

The two-person set I recorded in September had an M pizza, spaghetti, fries and two drinks; the four-person set had an L pizza, spaghetti, fries and still two drinks. The listing didn’t say which pizzas can go in a set. Ttubukdaejang also mentioned there’s only one restroom, and another visitor wasn’t happy with the staff. Those were past visits, but they’re worth knowing alongside the food comments.

Comparing the bill

Pizaok’s 2025 set and an Isabu M pizza aren’t the same order, and I don’t have current Pizaok prices, so I can’t say which place is better value. If price decides it for you, match the pizza size, pasta, sides and drinks before comparing totals.

If I were choosing today, I’d go to Isabu and start with an onion bulgogi M, adding fries only if we were still hungry. If my companion wanted potato, I’d switch to the half-and-half L. On a day when we both wanted truffle, I’d go to Pizaok instead and start with the mortadella e burrata, which Sursursu found milder than the Bismarck. Pizaok’s public opening hours conflicted, so check both places on the day.
